Krazy Garlic

Krazy Garlic, Newport Mall, Resorts World Manila

(Disclaimer: I am not a food blogger. I just want to blog about my experience in this particular restaurant.)

My family went to this mall for the first time because we were also going to watch The King and I at the Newport Performing Arts Theatre (maybe I would blog about that next, but that's going to be more technical than this blog). We arrived here at around 5:30PM. Since the show will start at 7PM, we decided to have dinner early. There were not a lot of restaurants inside the mall. We also didn't want to eat Japanese since we just ate at a Japanese restaurant the day before. We finally decided to choose Krazy Garlic because we knew that we would have a flavorful experience. And yes, we did.

Krazy Garlic is a restaurant that serves international cuisine with their food infused with loads of garlic. Garlic is very pungent and is one of the most commonly used spices. This restaurant is part of The Bistro Group who is responsible for the restaurants Fish and Co., Bulgogi Brothers, and others. They have 2 branches so far, this Resorts World Manila branch and another at Greenbelt 5, Makati.

We don't really like mild tasting full, but we don't like overly salty stuff, so this restaurant is just perfect for us. Garlic is such a wonderful spice because of the taste and nutritional value. Yes, you're breath will stink, but it's not like we're going to kiss anybody or talk to anybody (we did talk to people but good thing we bought mints after).

Here are the dishes we ordered:

Appetizer: Creamy Garlic Fondue (P250.00)
Cheese and garlic dip served fondue style with toasted garlic bread

Appetizer: Asian Spring Rolls (P225.00)
Fried spring roll stuffed with vermicelli noodles, carrots, mushrooms, and turnips served with greens and sweet chili sauce

Four Cheeses Pizza (P525.00)
Gorgonzola, Asiago, Mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses in thin crust pizza dough

Fettuccine Oriente (P465.00)
Cream-based fettuccine pasta with mussels, shrimps and Chinese greens served with garlic bread

I loved all the dished we ordered but my favorites are the pasta and the spring rolls. Really flavorful dishes. The good thing is that the garlic is not overpowering. The dishes don't taste just like garlic with other flavors. The use of garlic in the dishes play well with the other flavors used. Overall, this is such a wonderful experience. We will surely come back for more!
